Selfie

By Jennifer Marlowe Marvin

When I'm taking photos I'm usually pretty aware of what is going on around me, what could possibly be seen in the photo, what is going on in reflections, etc... Well,  as I was culling through photos from Carly and Cale's Wedding I saw this photo and started laughing.  For whatever reason, I didn't realize that his glasses were facing me and that this would be an unexpected self portrait!  Anyhow,  I think it's pretty cool and what I like to call a "Happy accident".  Don't get me wrong, I try to be VERY intentional about every photo I take, BUT when something like this happens it's a little too perfect :)

Michelle & Bryan {Cherry Hills Community Church Wedding}

By Jennifer Marlowe Marvin

Michelle and Bryan were married on Saturday afternoon in the BEAUTIFUL chapel at Cherry Hills Community Church.  It is absolutely one of my favorite venues to photograph.  Michelle called me late on Friday night panicking that her photographer would not return phone calls or emails and was praying I was available!  Luckily, the wedding I was booked to shoot was Sunday night!  Needless, to say all though it was a last minute decision to have me come every other little detail had been perfectly thought out and designed

Many of their details were very personal to them and it was fun to see how they integrated the talents of so many,  many Michelle's mom, Carol.  Michelle's mother made her dress (as well as the flower girl dress) with portions of her grandmothers original wedding dress.  Her mother also made all of the flower arrangements and invitations...  WHEW!  That is a lot of work!

As you can see from the photos, they had a beautiful wedding and luckily they were able to get inside their getaway car right before it started raining.  I'm guessing it's good luck :)

Congratulations!!!

Down 'N Dirty

By Jennifer Marlowe Marvin

This cute family needed some cute fun family portraits for a resume they're putting together.  It's no ordinary resume as you can probably tell :)  They wanted to make it a very visual, fun, bright resume to share a little bit more about their personality.  It was a short, but super fun shoot!   Thanks Tom, Holly, and your cute munchkin Zavy for bringing smiles to my face.  It's funny because they came down to my house just to hang out and we ended up taking some pictures... but beyond that when they were getting ready to leave they had a flat tire and had a 45 minute drive home with a baby on board.... I obviously didn't let them leave until morning, so we had an impromptu sleep over :)  I just wanted them to be safe...  and secretly wanted them to stay longer so we could hang out even more.  Here are a few pics of our fun day together.
