"Wow, where do I begin? How about with the beginning of the day :) As my fiancé, Melissa, was beautifying herself in front of the bathroom mirror, Jenny took charge and began helping herself to a few photos of her own in the living room. She politely abducted my bride-to-be’s engagement ring and snapped some creative shots of the platinum gem atop a Gala apple from my family’s apple orchard and on a white lily from a bouquet of flowers we had sitting on the dining room table. Jenny showed me her photos on her camera’s small display screen and although this was just my introduction to JM Art, I was already ecstatic.

Once Melissa was ready and Mother Nature decided to cooperate, we were out of the house and Jenny was ready to begin shooting the “talent” (I use that word loosely). We walked around and engaged in various poses while Jenny graciously followed us around and subtly offered us suggestions. Melissa and I had a few photos that we knew we wanted to take, but Jenny utilized her creativity and provided us with numerous ideas of her own. Shooting from countless angles, depths, and backdrops, we were probably outside taking photos for about two hours (or I believe somewhere around 500 photos). Despite the walking and cold weather, Jenny was able to maintain her positive upbeat attitude the entire time—well beyond when I began to tire…

Jenny placed a major emphasis on us looking natural and she was able to help us achieve those looks with her discrete and unobtrusive demeanor. I truly believe that Jenny’s shooting style enhances her clients’ ability to take photos that look real (rather than forced). For me personally, the photographer’s personality and ability to engage his/her clients is one of the most important criteria and Jenny is definitely at the top of the echelon in that category.  She made us look better than we could have ever imagined.

After all of her hard work walking around and shooting hundreds of photos, Jenny just couldn’t wait to really “get to work.” I don’t know how she had so much energy, but the only reason I can fathom is that photography is her true passion. So she set off on the editing stage, clicking furiously on foreign icons, cropping, brightening, and whatever other magic she was creating. But in the end, Melissa and I were shown photos that brought huge smiles to our faces and truly filled our hearts with joy. We could not be happier with the job that Jenny did and we feel so fortunate to have had her be a part of our special occasion."
